Kunst und Revolution

Viennese Actionists broke numerous taboos with their Kunst und Revolution (Art and Revolution) action, later referred to as the 'University Obscenity', which took place in Lecture Hall 1 of Vienna University’s New Institute Building and included public nudity, urination, masturbation, whipping, smearing of excrement on naked bodies and vomiting. This led to the arrest and trial of several members on charges of degradation of state insignia, eventually putting an end to the movement in Austria.
